Liz began playing the piano
when only six years old, and at eleven
won a Junior Exhibition scholarship to Trinity College, London, where she had
weekly tuition until the age of eighteen. Liz then attended Brighton College
of Education for three years with music as her main subject.
On
qualifying as a primary school teacher in 1972 she took a job as a specialist music teacher in a Brighton school, and since then has
taught in many local schools with music as a focus.
Liz also works for
the Brighton and Hove Music Service accompanying their Junior, Youth
and Adult Community Choirs involving concerts at such venues as the
Dome, the Gardner Arts Centre and the Brighton Centre.
Liz is now accompanying the Brighton Welsh
Male Voice Choir . . . .
( her toughest gig to date!
), and looks forward to a long and
happy relationship with them
